Clubs and Organizations

Student organizations offer workshops, career and networking resources, volunteer opportunities, and more. These organizations give students valuable connections to peers, industry, and the USC community.

USC Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)

USC's chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery hosts technical workshops, networking events with representatives from companies like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft, hackathons, and social events for students interested in working in computer science, computing engineering, and related fields.

USC Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Organization (CybOrg)

Students in the Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Organization — "CybOrg" for short — organize networking opportunities with industry recruiters, resume and cover letter workshops, a mentorship program, and social events. Members can also participate in hacking events, including a Capture the Flag game, to develop their skills in ethical hacking and systems defense.

USC Esports

At USC's Esports club, students can join both competitive teams and casual gaming events for gamers of all skill levels — including LAN parties, tournaments, and viewing parties. Students interested in competition can join teams for League of Legends, Overwatch, Hearthstone, Rocket League, and Starcraft 2.

Girls in Tech

USC's chapter of Girls in Tech offers networking opportunities, career workshops, scholarship opportunities, and social events for female students interested in working in technology.

Makers of Entertaining Games Association (MEGA)

The Makers of Entertaining Games Association (MEGA) promotes game creation and provides resources for students interested in working as artists, designers, engineers, writers, and more. In addition to organizing networking events, workshops, and social events, students in MEGA also team up to create original games.

 

USC National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

USC's chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) offers networking events, mentorship programs, community service opportunities, social events, and competitions — including the National Academic Tech Bowl and the Debaters Competition — to promote the academic and professional success of black engineers.

Open Alpha USC (OA)

Open Alpha (OA) at USC is an organization with a mission to Bring games from conception to an open-alpha release. OA offers a community for students interested in professional video game development. Students will bring their talent and vision to real-world projects in an exciting and fast-paced development environment.

 

 

USC SAP Association

USC's SAP Association offers networking opportunities with recruiters, resume and cover letter workshops, study groups, and social events for students interested in working in enterprise information systems.

USC Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers at USC (SHPE-USC) offers networking opportunities with recruiters, career workshops, study groups, volunteer opportunities, and social events to promote the advancement of Hispanic engineers.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at USC

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at USC offers networking opportunities with recruiters, study groups, a mentorship program, and volunteer opportunities — including a High School Mentorship Program — to promote the success of women in engineering and technology fields.

Women in Computing (WiC)

To support women interested in working in computer science, computer engineering, and related fields, Women in Computing (WiC) offers information sessions with companies like Salesforce and Cisco, networking events, technical workshops, volunteer opportunities, and social events.

Theta Tau USC

Theta Tau is a co-ed professional engineering organization, aimed to help engineers and other undergraduate students develop professional skills and be a part of a community of like-minded students. We focus on building the networks, professional arsenal, and engineering confidence in all of our members.
